2020 Christmas Card Exploration
2020 Christmas cards printed by riso. 2020 is really tough for everyone everywhere. Because of covid 19, many restaurants were closed, many people lost their jobs and live without health insurance, many elders need more care, many children need social activities and many health-care workers are still fighting with virus. The worst thing is many people lost their lovers...
I designed high-contrast strokes typeface to convey a sharp and difficulte period of time for human beings last year. Also, put a star on double sides to emphisize there is always a hope in the future as long as we keep looking forward to a new and a better year. Anyway, I wish you who are reading these texts have a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday : )

Futura Exploration
Futura is one my favorite typeface in San Serif category. It was founded by Paul Renner in 1927 and became popular to use in 20th century. The construction of Futura is based on the geometric shapes and even weight of stroke in each glyph. This typeface affects the modern design in a long term. Until now, designers are still impressive by its aesthetics of forms and modernist. De Stijl movement also influenced Modern art profoundly by colors and forms in multiple perspectives of design field such as architecture, product design, fashion design and even graphic design. The three primary colors – yellow, red, and blue – represent the essence of colors and design to salute this historical milestone - Modern - in the history of design. This project aims to explore basic and modernistic shapes on Futura and apply the concept on the different materials and objects.
